Using Adobe FireFly On Vision Pro

Using Adobe Firefly On Vision Pro to create images is super easy. Firefly is Adobe’s generative AI technology. They have built it into some of their apps, and subsequently made it available to try on the web. For Apple Vision Pro, Adobe built a brand new app. In this post and video I’ll show you just how easy it is to make great pics.

Jump Right In

If you haven’t already done so, get Adobe Firefly in Vision Pro from the App Store. Rather than going on and on about it, let’s jump right in and get to the video.

You can see how the Vision Pro interface makes it easy to get started. Tapping on the digital crown (button on top right of the headset) brings up the app window. Then you pinch and swipe to the next page, and simply look at the app icon and tap your thumb and forefinger.

For the demo, I kept things fairly simple. I just created a series of images of a firefly wearing a VR headset. Kudos to Adobe, their generative AI tool takes a responsible approach. They avoid the Italian Plumber Problem by simply not training the AI on unlicensed copyrighted material. While other generative AI companies complain, Adobe set about doing it right and the results are spectacular.

Images Made Using Adobe Firefly

One thing I didn’t mention in the video, but is great to know, is that Adobe embeds content credentials into the metadata of the images you create. This is absolutely the way everyone making art should approach it. It won’t be long before people can’t tell AI creations from original work by an artist. Using Adobe Firefly gets even easier, because you don’t have to think about it. Automatically embedding that info does the right thing without any additional work.

Take a look at the images below. Those are the pictures I made in Adobe Firefly on Vision Pro when I recorded the video. The pics were saved into my Photos library, and then before writing this post I used Adobe Photoshop to reduce the size.
